| Growing up in the Niagara area has provided many inspirations for Martin (Marty) Buchan. Although many of these have not yet been put to paper, they soon will be, and will be displayed at Watercolour Niagara. Martin has worked in the manufacturing industry for most of his life, including working as a Mould maker/ Machinist. The attention to detail involved in the trade carries over to his paintings, (or vice versa). It has only been since 2002 that Martin took up watercolour painting. Spending nearly 30 years sketching in pencil, charcoal and ink; it was time for a change, to bring more life and feeling to his work. So far the results have been satisfying, but there is more colour, life and subjects to capture. Keep coming back to see more paintings as they are posted. |
